Boulder / Front Range Mensa

Mensa is an international society whose sole requirement for membership is a score at or above the 98th percentile on any of a number of standardized tests. Mensa has three purposes:

Identify and foster human intelligence for the benefit of humanity
Encourage research in the nature, characteristics, and uses of intelligence
Promote stimulating intellectual and social opportunities for its members.

Mensa has always aimed to be a society that is non-political and free from all racial or religious distinctions. It welcomes people from every walk of life whose IQ is in the top 2 percent of the population, with the objective of enjoying each other's company and participating in a wide range of social and cultural activities.

The Boulder/Front Range Mensa group has more than 135 interesting members in Boulder and the Front Range of Northeast Colorado, including Lafayette, Longmont, and the surrounding area. We love travel and computers, hiking, biking, and science. Scuba, golf, cooking and homebrewing are also hobbies enjoyed by members. Games and really bad puns are ever-popular.

Our occupations range from the expected computer systems analysts and scientists and engineers to TV announcer and newspaper restaurant reviewer.

British Comedy Night

Previously-inactive members warmly greeted! July Mensa birthdays celebrated. Informal book exchange (bring books/take books). RSVP always appreciated but last-minute deciders welcome.

The third Saturday of the month. Feel free to bring your own favorite movie snacks. We´ll supply drinks and popcorn.

Once a month, a group of sociable people get together to play games in north Boulder. We usually play party games (cranium, trivia, cards, word games) rather than strategy or war games (we occasionally break out a "geek" game). Come at 7:00 PM, the last Saturday of every month. There are two cats in residence. No smoking, please. Non-Mensans welcome too.
